COMMODORE BARRY BRIDGE PAINTING

Project Description
The project focuses on maintaining and preserving the steel components of the Commodore Barry Bridge to prevent deterioration of its steel structural members. The bridge was last subjected to maintenance painting in 1996. Biennial inspections and assessments of the coating condition have recommended that the bridge undergo deleading and repainting.
The project will be executed in three phases:
- Phase 1: NJ Approach Span and US 130 Overpass - Completed
- Phase 2: PA Approach Span - Completed
- Phase 3: Cantilever Truss Span - Begin 2024/2025
