Walt Whitman Bridge Joins the Hunt: DRPA Displays ‘Let’s Hunt’ Banner for Eagles Super Bowl Run
The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) is showing its support for the Philadelphia Eagles as they prepare to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. A 4’ x 40’ banner displaying the team’s playoff slogan, “Let’s Hunt,” has been installed this morning on the Walt Whitman Bridge, a vital route connecting Philadelphia and South Jersey. The banner features a striking image of the “spin hurdle” performed by Eagles running back Saquon Barkley during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 3, 2024.
The Walt Whitman Bridge is more than just a crossing—it serves as a vital link between Philadelphia and South Jersey. More than 107,000 motorists use the span daily for commuting, leisure, and travel between the two regions. On game days, thousands of Eagles fans from South Jersey rely on the bridge to get to Lincoln Financial Field, making it an essential part of the game-day experience. DRPA is proud to rally behind the team and celebrate their incredible journey to the Super Bowl.
In addition to the banner on the Walt Whitman Bridge, the Ben Franklin Bridge will be lit in green on select nights, and PATCO concourses will also feature green lighting as a show of support for the team.
The banner and special lighting will remain in place leading up to the Super Bowl as the region unites to support the Birds. Fans crossing the bridges can look up and see a bold reminder that the Eagles—and their passionate fan base, including DRPA employees, are ready to hunt for another championship.
Fly, Eagles, Fly!
