Citizens Advisory Committee

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)

About the CAC

The DRPA/PATCO Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) serves an important role in informing DRPA and PATCO decision making. The CAC functions as an independent advisory body representing DRPA motorists and PATCO passengers on DRPA matters, including operations, budgets, policy and issues of general concern. CAC members counsel the DRPA senior management and the Board of Commissioners, but do not vote on board resolutions.

The CAC was established in 2010 to encourage and enlist the participation of citizen customers who have a stake in the Authority's day-to-day operations. The 24 members of the CAC, 12 each from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, serve a three-year, unpaid term. CAC monthly meetings are open to the public and cover a wide range of topics including Authority operations, budgets, policy, and issues of general concern.

BECOME A MEMBER

Those interested in becoming a CAC member must complete and submit an application, which is available for download below. Applications are also available at all four bridges and at all PATCO stations. Applicants may not be related to any Commissioner, Officer or Authority employee. No vendors or employees of companies doing business with DRPA or PATCO are eligible. When a CAC opening(s) becomes available, the current CAC members will select a potential candidate from the pool of previously submitted applications. CAC will propose a candidate for final approval by the DRPA Board. Applications will be kept on file for 2 years from the date of submission.
