Delaware River Port Authority Appoints Maria J. Wing as Deputy CEO
Philadelphia Attorney brings wealth of experience and expertise to DRPA Executive Leadership Team
CAMDEN, N.J. (October 22, 2015): The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) Board of Commissioners has appointed Philadelphia Attorney Maria J. Wing to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Wing brings more than 10 years of legal experience in the areas of commercial real estate development and financing, portfolio acquisition, and municipal matters pertaining to property-tax assessments and code compliance. Her clients have included nonprofit corporations, charter schools, universities, private developers and financial institutions.
“Maria Wing is a bright and talented professional who will bring her wealth of experience and expertise to the DRPA Executive Leadership team,” said DRPA Chairman Ryan N. Boyer. “Her ability to help us manage the Authority’s extensive real estate interests and many of our legacy economic development projects will be very valuable. In addition, her in-depth understanding of contracts will be extremely helpful as we review and enhance our procurement programs. The Authority is fortunate to have her on board.”
Since 2006, Ms. Wing has served as Counsel at the law firm of Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP. From 2004 to 2006, she served as an Associate at the firm of Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg & Ellers, LLP. She interned for the Honorable Thomas M. Brahney in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana during her time at Tulane University Law School and served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Jacqueline F. Allen, Court of Common Pleas in the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania.
“Maria’s skills and expertise will be a welcome addition to the DRPA Leadership Team,” said DRPA Vice Chair Jeff Nash. “Her experience in managing complex transactions and initiatives, along with her knowledge of the region’s real estate and development environment make her a natural fit, as we continue to manage the business of the Authority and continue to improve the ways in which that business is conducted.”

Ms. Wing has been the recipient of numerous professional honors and awards. She was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Real Estate in 2013 and 2015, a Leadership Council of Legal Diversity Fellow in 2014 and 2011 Honoree by the Legal Intelligencer Lawyers on the Fast Track. She is also extensively engaged in community and civic initiatives. She has served as Co-Chair of the Young Friends of the Urban Affairs Coalition, Board Member of the Anti-Defamation League, Member of the Emerging Leaders of People’s Emergency Center and Advisory Board member, Dress for Success Philadelphia.
Ms. Wing received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University and her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law.
