DRPA Announces Open Houses On Philadelphia Waterfront Transit Expansion Alternatives
DRPA CEO and PATCO President, John J. Matheussen, has announced two open houses in Philadelphia on an Alternatives Analysis for expanding transit to Philadelphia’s Waterfront. Both open houses will take place between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. The first open house is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, at the Friends Meeting House at 4th and Arch Streets. The second will be held on Wednesday, September 30, at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania at 1300 Locust Street. Identical information will be posted at both open houses. Further information can be found at www.patcopaexpansion.com/staging.
According to Matheussen, “It is important to us to hear the public’s input before plans are finalized. The open house format will allow those who are interested to view the plans in detail and speak directly with the public, officials and community organizations about the proposed project.”
The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, PATCO and the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal. The DRPA also owns the RiverLink Ferry.
