Ben Franklin Bridge Toll Lane Construction Advisory

The Delaware River Port Authority is advising drivers who use the Ben Franklin Bridge that toll lane construction will begin on Thursday, July 23rd.   The construction will result in the closing of one toll lane around the clock during weekdays and could effect morning and afternoon rush hour traffic.

The construction means one toll lane will be out of service Monday through Friday.  E-ZPass lanes will remain at 6, however, manual lanes will be reduced from 7 to 6.  This could result in minor delays at the toll lanes, particularly during morning rush hour.  The project should be completed by the end of August.

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and the RiverLink Ferry.
