Ben Franklin Bridge Pedestrian Tunnel In Philadelphia To Temporarily Close This Weekend

The Ben Franklin Bridge De-Leading and Painting project will require the closing of the pedestrian tunnel in Philadelphia this weekend.

The pedestrian tunnel under the bridge will be closed at 6 pm on Friday, June 5.  It will reopen at 8 am on Monday, June 8.

Those who normally walk under the bridge by using the 5th Street tunnel should cross under the bridge on 4th Street.   

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, PATCO and the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal.  The DRPA also owns the RiverLink Ferry.
