COMMUNITY GIVING FUND

"We Keep the Region Moving," refers to the Delaware River Port Authority of Pennsylvania and New Jersey's roles in both transportation and economic growth.

In 2004, DRPA created the Community Giving Fund to formalize a process for giving to non-profit organizations in the communities that we serve. Requests shall only be considered if the intended purpose is of a charitable, social service, or civic nature within the Port District counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and the counties of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Salem in New Jersey.

Please submit the Online Community Giving Fund application or download the application* and return it to Maria Mondile, Manager, Customer and Community Relations, and it will be reviewed by the Sponsorship Committee. We thank you for your interest in the DRPA.

Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Please attach any documentation you feel would be of assistance in the review process to supplement the questions on this application, including event invitations.

PROCEDURES FOR REVIEW OF SPONSORSHIP/GIVING REQUESTS

The following procedures shall apply:

1. All requests shall be reviewed by an internal “Sponsorship Committee.”

2. Requests from political organizations and private, for-profit companies will not be considered.

3. Requests shall only be considered if the intended purpose is of a charitable, social service, or civic nature within the Port District counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and the counties of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Salem in New Jersey.

4. The committee will provide all requesters with an application form to be submitted for the evaluation of all requests and will consider the following non-exclusive guidelines in making a decision:

• The nature of the request
• Previous DPRA funding
• Regional Economic Development Impact
• Promotional recognition or benefit for the DRPA/PATCO

5. The Committee shall have the authority to review and recommend all requests for Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) or less. Requests for greater than this amount may require more documentation and review time.

6. The Committee will provide a quarterly summary of all approved sponsorship/giving requests to the Board of Commissioners.
