SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT BRIDGE TOLL PROGRAM
DRPA revised the Senior Citizen Discount Program. Senior drivers (65+) who wish to participate in the program must have a NJ E-Zpass account. Below is further information about the changes:
Paper coupons/tickets are no longer sold. We will continue to accept coupons/tickets until August 31, 2010, after which any remaining tickets will be non-redeemable and non-refundable. Seniors who use coupons/tickets will pay $2.00 (2 coupons) per trip. Effective September 1, 2010, seniors who wish to continue in the program will be asked to open a NJ E-ZPass account.
Due to the elimination of the Senior Citizen Ticket program, there may be some Senior Citizens left with only one ( 1) ticket remaining. We will accept one (1) ticket but it must be attached to (or along with) the original ticket book cover at the time of the toll lane transaction. Upon turning over the last $1 ticket along with the ticket book cover, the toll will be considered paid in full. A single loose $1 discount ticket, without the ticket book cover, will not be accepted for payment of toll. As stated on the cover of every ticket booklet, “ticket is not valid if detached” from the booklet.
Seniors who sign up for the DRPA Senior Discount Program for E-ZPass pay a discounted toll of $1.75 until August 31, 2010. On September 1, 2010
and thereafter, the discounted toll will
always be fifty percent
(50%) of the basic
vehicle toll ($2.00).
