Here are some of the larger capital projects which together total over $1 Billion from our capital plan proposed over the next 5 to 7 years. This plan, this vision, meets our most important responsibility, to assure the safety and security of all who drive across our bridges or ride PATCO.

Benjamin Franklin Bridge
De-leading and Corrosion Protection Project - $23 million

Walt Whitman Bridge
Re-decking/de-leading & painting, cable dehumidification - $170 million

Commodore Barry Bridge
Deck Joint Replacement - $7 million

Betsy Ross Bridge
Deck Joints -$4.5 million

DRPA/PATCO
Security Enhancements- $65 million


E-ZPass

To participate in the commuter discount program, you must have an account with NJ E-ZPass and you must register to participate in the DRPA commuter program with NJ E-ZPass.For September, 2008 through August 2009, if a NJ E-ZPass tag, which is registered to participate in the commuter program, crosses one of the four DRPA bridges 18 times or more in a calendar month, the commuter's account will be credited with $12. In September 2009 through August 2010, the credit will be reduced to $6 for 18 trips. In September 2010, the commuter discount program will end.

The rebate is based on 18 trips or month a month PER TAG not per account.

Senior Citizens

Seniors, 65 years of age and older,  should consider participating in DRPA's Senior Discount Program for E-ZPass. Through August 31, 2010, participants in the DRPA Senior Discount Program for E-ZPass will pay a discounted toll of $1.75 until August 31, 2010. On September 1, 2010, the discounted toll will be $2.00 which will be fifty percent (50%) of the basic vehicle toll.

Thereafter, the senior citizen toll (using a senior citizen E-ZPass account) will remain at fifty percent (50%) of the basic vehicle toll.

Seniors currently participating in the Senior Citizen Ticket Program pay $2.00 (2 tickets) with the discount ticket. Although coupon/tickets are no longer sold, we will continue to accept them until August 31, 2010, after which any remaining tickets will be non-redeemable and non-refundable.


Trucks & Commercial Vehicles

Trucks and Commercial vehicles, weighing at least 7,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight,  pay $6.00 cash per axle.  Mobile homes and recreation vehicles, weighing at least 7,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight, pay the equivalent of a commercial vehicle ($6.00 cash per axle).
