Contract No. G-31-2017, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry Bridges Air-Blown Fiber Optic Installations

 

Sealed Bids for Contract No. G-31-2017, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry Bridges Air-Blown Fiber Optic Installations will be received during normal business hours at the office of the Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, until 2:00 PM, Eastern time, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 and immediately taken to the Engineering Conference Room and publicly opened and read.

The work to be completed under Contract No. G-31-2017 shall include all work required for the procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of two (2) fiber-optic communications systems, one (1) across the Betsy Ross Bridge (BRB) and one (1) across the Commodore Barry Bridge (CBB).  The BRB fiber-optic communications system shall provide communications infrastructure from the BRB administration building in Pennsauken, NJ to the Richmond Street substation in Philadelphia, and at each gantry structure on the bridge.  The CBB fiber-optic communications system shall provide communications infrastructure from the CBB administration building in Bridgeport, NJ to the new communications hut to be installed under this project in Chester, PA, and at each gantry structure on the bridge.  The work shall include the installation, testing, and commissioning of all related equipment, conduit, cabling, fiber, and terminations, as well as all required maintenance and protection of traffic.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by prospective bidders at the office of the Authority, Division of Engineering, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, beginning Monday, October 2, 2017 weekdays from 8:30 AM through 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM through 4:00 PM.  A payment of $200.00 by check or money order, made payable to the Delaware River Port Authority, will be required for each set of Contract Documents. Once purchased, no refunds will be issued, even to firms submitting bids. Contract Documents cannot be ordered nor delivered by mail.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held starting at 10:00 AM Eastern time on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Authority Headquarters Building, One Port Center, Engineering Department Conference Room, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, N.J.  All bidders shall be expected to completely and thoroughly examine all Contract Documents to become fully aware of the project scope and requirements prior to submitting a bid.

The Authority will consider only those bids received from parties who have obtained Contract Documents directly from the Authority.  Contract Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes.  Bids received from firms whose names are not recorded by the Authority as having secured documents for this Contract will be rejected.
