Contract No. PATCO-58-2017 PATCO City Hall Station Concourse Level Interior Painting


Date of bid opening: Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.

Sealed Bids for Contract No. PATCO-58-2017, PATCO City Hall Station Concourse Level Interior Painting will be received during normal business hours at the office of the Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, until 2:30 p.m., local time, October 5, 2017 and immediately taken to the Engineering Conference Room and publicly opened and read.

The work to be completed under this contract consists of the surface preparation and repainting of previously coated steel and concrete surfaces of the Concourse Level ceiling and columns of the PATCO City Hall Station located in Camden, New Jersey. The current coating contains hazardous substances including but not limited to metals such as lead, cadmium, and chromium. The Contractor shall be certified by New Jersey Lead Hazard Evaluation and Abatement Code (NJAC 5:17). The Contractor shall also have SSPC, PCCP, QP-2 certification.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by prospective bidders at the office of the Authority, Division of Engineering, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, beginning September 5, 2017, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m. A payment of $200.00 by check or money order, made payable to the Delaware River Port Authority, will be required for each set of Contract Documents. Once purchased, no refunds will be issued, even to firms submitting bids. Contract Documents cannot be ordered nor delivered by mail.

A mandatory Pre-bid Meeting will be held starting at 10:00 a.m., local time on September 13, 2017 in the 7th Floor Conference Room of One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08101. A site visit is scheduled immediately following the Pre-Bid Meeting. All bidders shall be expected to completely and thoroughly examine all Contract Documents to become fully aware of the project scope and requirements prior to submitting a bid.

The Authority will consider only those bids received from parties who have obtained Contract Documents directly from the Authority. Contract Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes. Bids received from firms whose names are not recorded by the Authority as having secured documents for this Contract will be rejected.
