RFB - Contract No PPC-23-2012 - M/V Freedom 2012/2013 Dry Docking Inspection And Repairs

Sealed Bids for Contract No. PPC-23-2013, M/V Freedom 2012/2013 Dry Docking Inspection and Repairs will be received during normal business hours at the office of the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, until 02:00 pm, local time, December 20, 2012 and immediately taken to the Engineering Conference Room and publicly opened and read.

The work to be completed under this contract consists of dry docking, inspection and repairs to the M/V Freedom. The project includes, but is not limited to cleaning and  painting,  replacement of portions of the hull plate, repairing hydraulic leaks, replacement of steering pin cylinders, replacement of  keel cooler piping, installation of exhaust insulation and crankcase ventilation filters on the generators and electrical inspections and repairs.

A complete description of the work and full information for Contract Bidders is given in the Contract Documents.  Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained free of charge by prospective bidders at the office of the Authority, Division of Engineering, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, beginning November 20, 2012, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held starting at 10:00 am, local time on November 27, 2012 in the Seventh Floor North Conference Room of One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08101.  A site visit is scheduled immediately following the Pre-Bid Meeting.  All bidders shall be expected to completely and thoroughly examine all Contract Documents to become fully aware of the project scope and requirements prior to submitting a bid.

The Authority will consider only those bids received from parties who have obtained Contract Documents directly from the Authority.  Contract Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes.  Bids received from firms whose names are not recorded by the Authority as having secured documents for this Contract will be rejected.
