Contract No. PATCO-41-2010 - PATCO Pump Stations and Compressor Rooms and Storms Pumps Improvements

Sealed Proposals for the PATCO-41-2010, PATCO City Hall and 8th & Market Pump Rooms and City Hall and Franklin Square Compressor Rooms and Woodcrest Storm Pumps Improvements will be received during normal business hours at the office of the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, until 10:30 a.m., local time, Thursday, September 28, 2010 and immediately taken to the Engineering Conference Room and publicly opened and read.

The scope of work for this project shall include the conversion of the City Hall and 8th & Market Storm Water Pump Rooms from a dry well/wet well arrangements to a wet well arrangements with submersible pumps. Included is the demolition and replacement of the existing pumps, control devices, electrical equipment, structural/building elements, access ladders/grating, and all related accessories. Also included is the demolition and replacement of the existing air compressors, receiver tanks, aftercoolers, inline devices, and related accessories for the City Hall and Franklin Square Compressor Rooms. Including the replacement of the existing submersible pumps, controls, and accessories for the storm water pump pit at the Woodcrest PATCO Station. Work includes the provisions for temporary utilities during the improvements.

A complete description of the work and full information for Contract Bidders is given in the Contract Documents.  Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by prospective bidders at the office of the Authority, Division of Engineering, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, beginning Tuesday, August 31, 2010, weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  A deposit of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) by check, made payable to the Delaware River Port Authority, will be required for each set of Contract Documents.  Deposits will be refunded to anyone submitting a bid (limit of $400.00 for four (4) sets).  Deposits will not, under any circumstances, be refunded to individuals or companies not submitting bids to the Delaware River Port Authority.  Contract Documents cannot be ordered nor delivered by mail.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held starting at 10:00 a.m., local time on September 14, 2010 in the Engineering conference room, 7th floor, One Port Center.  All bidders shall be expected to completely and thoroughly examine all Contract Documents to become fully aware of the project scope and requirements prior to submitting a bid.

The Authority will consider only those bids received from parties who have obtained Contract Documents from the Authority.  Contract Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes.  Bids received from firms whose names are not recorded by the Authority as having secured documents for this Contract will be rejected.
