RFQ - Engineering Services For Betsy Ross Bridge Bridge Resurfacing

Due No Later Than 4:00 p.m. on April 22, 2010

The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) hereby invites professional consulting engineering firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications for Engineering Services at the Betsy Ross Bridge facility.  This work will include but is not limited to all design services required to develop the most feasible and economical bridge resurfacing and roadway rehabilitation alternatives and prepare complete contract documents. The firm shall exhibit professional staff knowledgeable in the areas of bridge rehabilitation, milling, paving, roadway improvements, highway drainage, maintenance and protection of vehicular traffic, sign structure rehabilitation, survey, ancillary highway electrical work, construction support and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements.  The consulting engineering firm will be expected to provide fully developed methodologies for accomplishing all the above mentioned work.  

The Scope of Services the Authority requires includes, but is not limited to providing the proper design services to develop a final design package which will include the preliminary design report, plans, specifications, estimates, and a construction schedule with which the Authority will solicit bids from construction contractors to accomplish the proposed work detailed in the Request for Proposals.

Six (6) copies of the written Statements of Qualifications and U.S. Government Form SF330 must be received by the Authority no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 22, 2010.  The Statements of Qualification should be addressed to Mr. Michael P. Venuto, P.E., Acting Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority’s Engineering Office located on the 7th floor of One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101-1949.  The mailing envelope containing the Statement of Qualifications shall be labeled “Statement of Qualifications, Engineering Services for a Bridge Resurfacing Contract at the Betsy Ross Bridge”. The Statement of Qualifications shall describe, in three (3) pages or less (US Government Form SF330 excluded from the aforementioned three page limitation), the qualifications of the firm and the key personnel’s experience providing design services in the areas mentioned above. The qualifications must also include similar work successfully completed in the last five years by the firm and the key personnel. The Statement of Qualifications will be used by the Authority to establish a short list of consultants to receive a Request for Proposal.

This public advertisement constitutes the DRPA formal solicitation to determine the interest of qualified professional consulting firms in the afore stated project.
