RFQ - PATCO Shop Annex Building


The Delaware River Port Authority (Authority) hereby invites interested professional consulting engineering firms to submit a Statement of Qualification for providing engineering services for
the PATCO Shop Annex Building.

The Scope of Services the Authority requires shall include development of a specification and concept drawings for a design / build procurement for a 15000 SF Shop Annex Building for transit car maintenance at Lindenwold Yard. The work shall include the necessary site, geotechnical, and utility investigation , development of a comprehensive set of building requirements and cost estimates that will be used for the design/build bid phase and the review and approval of submittals and final inspection during the construction phase. The engineering services firm should have familiarity with transit car shop operations.

Six (6) copies of the written Statement of Qualifications and U.S. Government Forms SF330 must be received by the Authority no later than 3:00 PM on Sept. 3, 2009. The Statement of Qualifications should be addressed to Mr. William C. Brooks, P.E., Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, P.O. Box 1949, Camden, New Jersey 08101. The mailing envelope containing the Statement of Qualifications shall be labeled “PATCO Shop Annex Building” The Statement of Qualifications shall describe, in five (5) pages or less, the qualifications of the firm and the key personnel on the design team and shall briefly describe similar consultation projects successfully completed in the last five years by the firm and the key personnel. The Statement of Qualifications will be used by the Authority to establish a short list of consultants to receive a Request for Proposal and to engage a consultant for this project.

However, MBE and WBE team members must be named, and commitment levels must be noted at the time the technical proposal is requested.
