RFQ - Light Duty Vehicle Maintenance Building For The Benjamin Franklin Bridge

The Delaware River Port Authority (Authority) hereby invites interested professional consulting engineering firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications for the design of a pre-engineered metal building to serve as a Light Duty Vehicle Maintenance Building, at the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and to provide a conceptual floor plan showing the space reallocation of the existing Benjamin Franklin Bridge Maintenance Building.
The Scope of Services the Authority requires shall include all design activities required to develop the most feasible and economical alternative and prepare complete contract documents with which the Authority may solicit construction bids. The new structure will be a pre-engineered metal building of approximately 8,000 square feet and in addition to the service bays will include several offices and restroom facilities. The space reallocation conceptual plan will show how the space of the existing Maintenance Building will be reallocated to create offices, locker/restroom, break and storage areas.
Six (6) copies of the written Statement of Qualifications and U.S. Government Forms SF 330 must be received by the Authority no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 23, 2009. The Statements of Qualifications should be addressed to Mr. William C. Brooks, P.E., Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, P.O. Box 1949, Camden, New Jersey 08101. The mailing envelope containing the Statement of Qualifications shall be labeled "Design Services for the BFB Light Duty Vehicle Maintenance Building RFQ”. The Statement of Qualifications shall describe, in four (4) pages or less, the qualifications of the firm and the key personnel in the area of, design of concrete foundation, pre-engineered buildings, CMU wall, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and fire alarms systems, space planning and shall briefly describe similar design projects successfully completed in the last five years by the firm and the key personnel. The Statement of Qualifications will be used by the Authority to establish a short list of Consultants to receive a Request for Proposal and to engage a consultant for this project.
