Request For Qualifications -Construction Monitoring Services For  Commodore Barry Bridge Chester Approach Widening

Due No Later Than 4:00 p.m. on August 7, 2008

The Delaware River Port Authority (Authority) hereby invites interested professional consulting engineering firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications for the Construction Monitoring Services for PennDot’s Commodore Barry Bridge Chester Approach Widening Project.

The Scope of the Construction Service the Authority requires shall include shall include, but not be limited to: monitoring PennDot’s contractor’s work to ensure compliance with Contract Documents, attending progress meetings, responding to field questions, changes in site conditions, construction errors, and the suitability of contractor proposed substitutions.  The estimated duration for construction monitoring services is twenty-four (24) months. 

Six (6) copies of the written Statement of Qualifications and U.S. Government Forms SF 330 must be received by the Authority no later than 4:00 p.m. on August 7, 2008.  The Statements of Qualifications should be addressed to Mr. William C. Brooks, P.E., Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, P.O. Box 1949, Camden, New Jersey 08101.  The mailing envelope containing the Statement of Qualifications shall be labeled "Construction Monitoring of CBB Chester Approach Widening Project RFQ".  The Statement of Qualifications shall describe, in three (3) pages or less, the qualifications of the firm and the key personnel in the area of, reinforced concrete bridge construction and rehabilitation, and shall briefly describe construction monitoring projects successfully completed in the last five years by the firm and the key personnel.  The Statement of Qualifications will be used by the Authority to establish a short list of Consultants to receive a Request for Proposal for the Construction Monitoring Services.
