Contract No. PPC-19-2008 - Philadelphia Cruise Ship Terminal Chiller Compressor Replacement

Sealed Proposals for Contract No. PPC-19-2008, Philadelphia Cruise Ship Terminal Chiller Compressor Replacement will be received during normal business hours at the office of the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, until 11:00 a.m., local time, July 1, 2008 and immediately taken to the Engineering Conference Room and publicly opened and read. The work to be completed under this contract consists of the replacement of a chiller compressor for the existing air cooled chiller mounted on the roof of the Philadelphia Cruise Ship Terminal. The work will include providing a new compressor to the existing air cooled chiller system including an “occupied/unoccupied” switch for the HVAC Control System, a new motor and refurbishment of the circulating pump, duct mounted pressure switches and duct mounted smoke detectors. The work will also include start-up, testing, and balancing of the existing chiller water system. A complete description of the work and full information for Contract Bidders is given in the Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by prospective bidders at the office of the Authority, Division of Engineering, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, beginning June 10, 2008, weekdays between 9:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m. A deposit of $ 100.00 by check or money order, made payable to the Delaware River Port Authority, will be required for each set of Contract Documents. Deposits will be refunded to anyone submitting a bid. Deposits will not, under any circumstances, be refunded to individuals or companies not submitting bids to the Delaware River Port Authority. Contract Documents cannot be ordered nor delivered by mail. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held starting at 10:00 a.m., local time on June 17, 2008 in the Engineering West Conference Room located in the 7th Floor of One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey. All bidders shall be expected to completely and thoroughly examine all Contract Documents to become fully aware of the project scope and requirements prior to submitting a bid. The Authority will consider only those bids received from parties who have obtained Contract Documents from the Authority. Contract Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes.
