Contract No. G-19-2007 - Former Greyhound/Trailways Facility Site Demolition And Rehabilitation

Sealed proposals for Contract Number G-19-2007, Admiral Wilson Boulevard Former Greyhound/Trailways Facility Site Demolition and Rehabilitation, will be received during normal business hours, at the office of the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer in the headquarters building of the Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey until 10:30 a.m., local time, December 11, 2007 and immediately taken to the Engineering Conference Room and publicly opened and read. The work to be completed under this contract consists of the demolition and rehabilitation of the site which formerly held a Greyhound/Trailways bus facility, on Admiral Wilson Boulevard, at 17th Street in Camden, New Jersey. The Work of this contract includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition of existing foundations, removal of underground storage tanks, removal of contaminated soil, dewatering, rehabilitation of the existing soils and miscellaneous regarding of soil. If bidders wish to take soil samples and perform tests, prior to submitting a bid, the procedures and requirements to do so are included in the Contract Documents. The Delaware River Port Authority is firmly committed to providing full and equal business opportunities to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age or non-job related disability. In that regard, the Delaware River Port Authority will affirmatively assure that minority and female-owned business enterprises are afforded equal opportunities to submit bids and/or proposals for consideration for all purchases and contracts issued in connection with this project. Prospective bidders should understand that the participation of certified MBEs and WBEs is a matter of great interest in the evaluation of all bids. To that end, the DRPA has established MBE and WBE goals for this project. MBE and WBE team members must be named, and commitment levels must be noted at the time the bid is submitted. A complete description of the work and full information for Contract Bidders is given in the Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract documents may be obtained by prospective bidders at the Delaware River Port Authority’s Engineering Office located on the 7th floor of One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101- 1949, on and after November 19, 2007. A check deposit of Two-Hundred Dollars ($200.00), made payable to the Delaware River Port Authority, will be required for each set of Contract Documents. Deposits will be refunded to anyone submitting a bid (limit of $800.00 for four sets). Deposits will not, under any circumstances, be refunded to individuals or companies not submitting bids to the Delaware River Port Authority. Contract documents cannot be ordered nor delivered by mail. A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held starting at 10:00 a.m., local time on November 27, 2007 in the Finance Conference Room located on the 8th Floor of One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey. All bidders are required to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting. All Bidders shall be expected to completely and thoroughly examine all Contract Documents to become fully aware of the project scope and requirements prior to submitting a bid. The Authority will consider only those bids received from parties who have obtained Contract Documents directly from the Authority. Contract Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes. Bids received from firms whose names are not recorded by the Authority as having secured documents for this Contract will be rejected.
