RFQ - General Engineering Consulting Svc Marine Engineering & Naval Architecture

The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) hereby invites professional consulting firms/teams to submit a Statement of Qualifications to provide General Engineering Consulting Services under an open-ended contract for Authority projects related to marine/waterfront engineering and naval architecture. Firms/Teams wishing to submit a Statement of Qualifications must have broad marine engineering and naval architecture capabilities, including the services of individuals knowledgeable in all areas of marine engineering and naval architectural as they relate to the Authority’s activities and operations. The Scope of Services the Authority requires shall include, but not be limited to: analysis and design of marine structures (piers, dolphins, bulkheads, fenders, etc.); underwater inspection and evaluation; cruise terminal and ferry terminal operations and master planning; marine surveying; environmental permitting; and naval architecture (46 CFR Subchapters T & K). Firms must also demonstrate broad capabilities in civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering and construction inspection as required to support the Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture Services. Six (6) copies of the written Statements of Qualifications and U.S. Government Forms 254 and 255 must be received by the Authority no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007. The Statements of Qualifications should be addressed to Mr. William Brooks, Acting Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, P.O. Box 1949, Camden, New Jersey 08101-1949. The Statement shall describe, in three (3) pages or less, the firm’s (team’s) qualifications in the areas of marine/waterfront engineering and naval architecture and shall briefly describe similar type projects successfully completed by the firm (team). The U.S. Government Forms 254 and 255 must be current and correctly completed for each firm submitting a Statement of Qualifications. The mailing envelope containing the Statement of Qualifications shall be labeled “Statement of Qualifications, General Engineering Consulting Services, Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture” The Delaware River Port Authority is firmly committed to providing equal employment and business opportunities for all persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, or non-job related disability. Prospective proposers should understand that the participation of qualified and certified MBE’s and WBEs is a matter of great interest in the evaluation of all proposals. The DRPA has established MBE and WBE target participation levels for this project. This public advertisement constitutes the DRPA formal solicitation to determine the interest of qualified professional consulting firms in the afore stated project.
