RFP - Temporary Clerical, Ticket Sellers, Administrative And Custodial Positions At DRPA And PATCO

The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) and Port Authority Transit Corporation (PATCO) of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey has found it in the best interest of the DRPA and PATCO (referred to collectively as the “Authority”) to extend the time provided for the submission of proposals for the furnishing of temporary help persons for the purpose of selling fare tickets in PATCO's New Jersey Transit Stations, and the furnishing other clerical, administrative and custodial temporary help skills as occasionally required by DRPA/PATCO. All bidders will be required to attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting. Failure to attend the pre-proposal meeting will result in the bidder being deemed non-responsive and his proposal summarily rejected. The mandatory pre-proposal meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at 10:00AM, in the 7th floor west conference room, at DRPA headquarters. Those firms who attended the mandatory pre-proposal meeting previously held on August 10, 2006 need not attend this meeting. Firms who have submitted proposals on or before September 14, 2006 need not resubmit their proposals; however, if they so choose, firms may submit a revised proposal. Further information regarding the project background, proposed Scope of Work, technical and cost proposal requirements, and project schedule can be found in the Authority’s detailed Request for Proposals which is available on the website link listed below. All proposals must be received no later than 2:00PM on October 10, 2006 regardless of delivery in person or by mail. Questions on this request for proposal may be directed to Jan S. Odjemski at (856) 968-2084. The Authority is firmly committed to providing equal employment and business opportunities for all persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, or non-job related disability. In that regard, the Authority will affirmatively assure that with regard to any purchase agreement issued and/or contract or subcontract entered into pursuant to this project that qualified and certified minority business enterprises (MBEs) and women owned business enterprises (WBEs) will be afforded a full opportunity to submit proposals and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or non-job related disability in the consideration of this award. This public advertisement constitutes the Authority’s formal solicitation to determine the interest of qualified professional consulting firms in this project.
